Columbus Promise 5K
Join us for the Columbus Promise 5K, a run/walk that brings our community together to celebrate movement, community and education.
Held in downtown Columbus as part of the OhioHealth Capital City Half & Quarter Marathon weekend, this event is open to runners and walkers of all levels and proudly supports the Columbus Promise program.
The Columbus Promise program removes financial barriers to higher education by providing tuition-free access to Columbus State Community College for new Columbus City Schools graduates. In addition to covering tuition and fees, the program offers a stipend for educational expenses along with advising and support services designed to help students succeed in college and beyond. Developed through a partnership between the City of Columbus, Columbus State, I Know I Can, and Columbus City Schools, the Columbus Promise is an investment in students, families, and the future of our community.
To date, the more then 3,000 students have been part of the Columbus Promise program.
