COLUMBUS, Ohio – Land-Grant Brewing Company, the Columbus-based brewery & taproom dedicated to building community around beer, celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon with a special-edition can design of their popular Oh, Sure IPA.
Oh, Sure – a bright, clean and approachable IPA – is a favorite of craft beer lovers, and makes a great companion beer for runners because of its balance of flavor and refreshment. The commemorative Oh, Sure IPA cans will be released exclusively at the Capital City Half Marathon’s post-race party on Saturday, April 29 at the Columbus Commons.
“This is the first time we’ve commemorated Oh, Sure IPA into a limited-edition offering, and we felt like the 20th anniversary [of the race] was the perfect celebratory time to do so,” said Walt Keys, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Land-Grant. “We have enjoyed coming up with creations for the race since first partnering in 2018, but we wanted to put a beer in the hands of the runners that they can enjoy year-round, while still finding a way to make it feel special when finishers celebrate their accomplishments.”
Just as Oh, Sure IPA is a beer for novice and experienced craft beer drinkers alike, the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon is an event for runners and walkers of all experiences and levels. With a Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon and 5K distance, it is a true celebration of getting outside, being active and celebrating the city of Columbus and all the people and organizations that make it a great place to live and visit.
“We’re excited to have Land-Grant return as the Celebration Partner of the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon and to continue the tradition of bringing a unique beer experience to all Cap City finishers,” said race director, David Babner. “Welcoming all 21+ finishers to the post-race celebration with the custom can of Oh, Sure IPA will kick off what is sure to be the biggest and best Cap City celebration yet.”
Land-Grant is the Official Beer of the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon, set for Saturday, April 29 in downtown Columbus. The 12,000 runners and walkers will be celebrated with a complimentary can of Oh, Sure IPA at the Byers Xtra Mile Finish Line Party. Oh, Sure IPA will also be served in the Diamond Cellar VIP Tent on Race Day.
In celebration of this partnership and the upcoming Half Marathon, Land-Grant, the Capital City Half Marathon and Fleet Feet Columbus will host a 3-mile Community Fun Run & Walk at Land-Grant on Wednesday, April 12 at 6 p.m.
The 2023 OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon, OhioHealth Quarter Marathon and Columbus Promise 5K will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 29 in downtown Columbus. The Byers Xtra Mile Finish Line Party & PNC Post Race Concert will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the John F. Wolfe Columbus Commons.
