Purpura, 25, a Watkins Memorial graduate who ran at Alabama and Kent State, earned the first major victory of his young career, entered the 13.1-mile race with low expectations after having surgery for a deviated septum about a month ago. ...read more

“I must say that as a veteran of over 50 half marathons, The Capital City Half Marathon is up there as one of the best. This is one of the better urban courses I've run as it seemed to bring out the entire flavor of the Columbus experience. The Finish Line was a great place to meet up with Family and have a champagne toast, a beer, and some chocolate. Nice! The Finisher's Medal was 'Totally Awesome!'” ...more feedback
