The OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon partners with a variety of training groups that will help you prepare for the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon (13.1 miles), Patrón Quarter Marathon (6.2 miles) or Commit To Be Fit 5K (3.1 miles).
Marathoner In Training
Marathoner In Training is an official Half Marathon Training Program of the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon. Have you always wanted to run a half marathon? Are you looking to set a new PR?
MIT will teach you about running or walking in cool and cold weather, nutrition, goal setting, how to avoid injury, pacing, and much more. The MIT program will allow you to run comfortably without spending a great deal of time training or recovering! This training program is designed to prepare you for your best or your first half marathon — the proper way! You will be given a training plan to follow that will get you to the finish line healthy and happy! MIT's goal is to motivate, inform, and get you addicted to running/walking! Though many of our participants will have run before, the program is designed to accommodate all skill levels! So let's go! Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team In Training
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training program is thrilled to be an official charity of the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon! This will be Central Ohio's eighth year participating in this event, and we are looking forward to bringing our biggest Team in 2012! TNT is hoping to raise well over $200,000 for this event alone. The money will go toward research, patient services and education in efforts to find a cure for blood cancers. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio (RMHC) serves families with seriously ill children by providing a home-away-from-home at the Columbus Ronald McDonald House. It is currently the largest Ronald McDonald House in the world after a recent expansion. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children in Central Ohio. One of Ronald McDonald House's programs includes Team RMHC, a group of runners who train together and fundraise for the House and its families.
