The Capital City Half Marathon has steadily grown into one of the largest half marathons in the Midwest. An estimated 12,500 runners and walkers will participate when the race celebrates the Columbus Bicentennial on May 5, 2012.
The 2012 Capital City Half Marathon, which will being at the Scioto Mile and end at the Columbus Commons, will feature four races: the ninth-annual Capital City Half Marathon (13.1 miles); the second-annual Patrón Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles); the popular Commit To Be Fit 5K (3 miles) and the Capital Kids Mascot Chase.
The Capital City Half Marathon, founded in 2004 and produced by M3S Sports of Columbus, Ohio, generates an estimated $4 million in visitor spending each year.
