Race Feedback

I just wanted to reach out and say how amazing the Cap City went. I was up in ****** this weekend for their expo and race. You guys BLEW them out of the water!!

The cap city course was beautiful and filled with entertainment! I didn't even need to run with an iPod. The expo was exciting and fun. Not to mention how the finish line provided runners with a great variety of food and drinks after running. I loved how there were partnerships with local companies. Usually you hear of people traveling to go to great races. However, I feel so lucky that I don't have to travel to experience a great race. You did a phenomenal job and I'm looking forward to next year!!!

Congrats to you and your staff. I have run many half marathons and this one was really organized!

First of all, this was my first half marathon, and I have to say I did not know that it was going to be so much fun! The bands were great and all the volunteers were awesome and seemed to really be enjoying themselves. I truly had a great time, and look forward to running again in it!

I must say that as a veteran of over 50 half marathons, The Capital City Half Marathon is up there as one of the best.

Course — This is one of the better urban courses I've run as it seemed to bring out the entire flavor of the Columbus experience. see more...»

I ran the Full ********* last Sunday in the rain after running your half the week before. Although ****** is a major, you guys had a better event. The organization and the after party were much more fun in your town. Thanks. I'll be baaaaaaaack!

The race was amazing and well-organized. I was so happy with the bands and the well-marked course and the water stations and port-o-potties and the entertainment was a blast.

Cap City was my fourth half-marathon and my second in 2011. I've done Nike Women's twice and Zooma in Austin. Although Cap City didn't have the pomp of San Francisco and was a much longer trip from my home in San Antonio, it will go down as my favorite event so far. see more...»

Hi David,
I want to start off by telling you that I immensely enjoyed pacing the race last weekend. This was definitely a highlight in half marathon experiences. I have talked to a lot of people who really enjoyed the race. Thanks for putting on a great race. It really felt like a “big” race, but still had the hometown feel to it. I loved that. The half marathon route was great. Thanks again for a great experience.

This year, due to an injury, I was only able to participate in the 1/4 Marathon, but I really enjoyed the distance; I am glad you have added these to your 1/2 Marathon events...

The corral start really made the getting to the line part less stressful. I was able to get the port-o-let, the gear check, and ease into corral A with no issues. Also, the way the EXIT from the course was set up to funnel people into the finish line party was much smoother. I really liked the overall value of the race; the packet pick up was more professional which matched the caliber of the race, as was the finish line food and party.
