The Capital City Half Marathon is seeking acts to perform at the Bicentennial Edition of the Capital City Half Marathon, Patrón Quarter Marathon and Commit To Be Fit 5K on May 5, 2012.
Participating bands will perform in front of approximately 12,500 runners and walkers, in addition to spectators and volunteers.
Your band name and web site will be featured:
- on the official Capital City Half Marathon web site,
- on the official Capital City Half Marathon Facebook Fan Page
- in the official Capital City Half Marathon Event Guide (15,000 copies)
Interested bands should e-mail Matt Sexton at and include a link to music samples. Confirmation e-mails will be sent upon acceptance. The number of entertainment acts selected will be capped at 45.
Exact performance locations will vary. The Capital City Half Marathon course starts downtown at the Scioto Mile, travels up Olentangy River Road to the Ohio State University campus area, and then returns to downtown on High Street. The race will finish at the Columbus Commons in 2012.
Cap City will provide a $100 stipend and access to electricity (either through a business or a race-provided generator). All groups must provide all other equipment needed to perform.
